    Pluses:

10 email accounts, 50MB of web storage with Frontpage extensions, static IP.

    Minuses:

    - my traffic goes via California. On Kali, ping=160-170ms. Well, I had ping 110 with Ameritech on a modem dialup, and 30 with another ADSL provider (from whom I switched). Maximum d/l speed is about 36KBytes/sec (with my 380Kb account).

    - their newsgroup provider is Supernews. Supernews has a very interesting policy about popular newsgroups: if a newsgroup is popular enough to gather a high traffic, then it's not provided. For example, misc.jobs.resumes. The newsgroup is listed on their newsserver, but appears as empty. Worse, if you post to such a newsgroup, there's no error message, but nothing is posted. An incredible innovation. When I complained, ixpres advised me to use web interface to newsgroups, as if there was no Dejanews or MailAndNews.
