I signed up for basic DSL from SW Bell. Got an install date..then they offered the reduced install rates. I called back and changed to Enhanced DSL 384-1.5mbs Up and 128 down.
That set back the install by two weeks...It was just put in this afternoon. Installer was friendly and knew what he was doing.. also noted that I am a computer builder and consultant by trade and just handed me the number and let me do my own setup.
He stayed while I did a test download.. I went to known good server and got about 1.3mbs down.. then I did an upload and about 12Kbs. all within parameters. He was great. Install was fast and painless. Speeds are advertised.
I should probably note.. I am changing from RoadRunner cable to Enhanced DSL. RR doesn't offer five IP's and their technicle support in the Kansas City area is worse than terrible.
I was told it would be 24 hours before I could setup email accounts but went ahead and tried( imaptient) that also was already setup and went smooth as glass.
This is still the first day but..I give them 5stars on this.
