"Have to pay for tech support calls even with top 20mb package, Far too slow relative to advertised speeds"

I've been running with Telewest Blueyonder since they launched (now Virgin Media).
Best experience was getting the installation up and running. Pre-sales staff were very helpful, and the engineers got the service up and running in a matter of minutes without any fuss. (Cable modem connected to an existing ethernet card, but now you can also pay for an ethernet card to be installed if you don't want to do it yourself)
IP address is dynamic.
Upgrading from a slower speed package only took a quick phone call and re-start of the cable modem.
My worst experience is calling Tech Support. At first it was a free call, but would take a ridiculous 45mins to get through to talk to someone. Now you have to pay for the call, they've brought that down to a couple of mins. However, you're first to wait and listen to a couple of minutes of automated messages which typically state the obvious and are rarely applicable.
Actual bandwidth available is typically 2mb. Far short of the 20mb claimed.
