I have the 6 meg DSL plan. When I called to order, they said I was 200 feet too far to get the 6 meg plan, but the very nice and helpful people in the AT&T direct forum helped to get it. Reliablility and uptime have been fantastic -- I would say better than 99%. Not perfect, but very close. The throughput has been great, I can download better than 2 gigabytes per hour, even in prime time.

| Watch out for tech support nightmare Just wait till you have to call technical support and experience the phone nightmare that is AT&T. Also, they have no phone-based method to inform customers of service disruption, so if you lose your internet connection and try to troubleshoot the problem you have no way of knowing if AT&T is the cause. Years of suggestions that and other fixes fell on deaf ears. Also, keep an eye on your contract expiration date, as AT&T will not inform you that your contract is up and that newer (and often cheaper) service is available. | AT&T DSL maintenace support I personally am very satisfied with the maintenance support I get with my ATT DSL. I have a number that goes directly to maintenance with no,I repeat 'NO' menu !! A real live person is there to talk to you instead of 10 menu options!  | |
