Well, well where to begin? Really long story put short. I tried almost all options of getting internet service to my house and they all failed. Cable, and three wireless providers. Never considered DSL because of my location and lack of knowedge of the phone system in the area. Saw a phone truck pull into a drive that looked like a CO did some posting and talked to two very nice people here in the ATT forums. Based on my address I could get service, I never had a phone here at my house all cell.
Anyway I called got a phone and DSL ordered and 3 days later here we are. That is including a truck roll to put in a new arial drop. Got the basic modem switched it to bridge mode fired up the router and I got two computers surfing away.
Monthly cost phone and DSL should be $44 plus tax so I am guessing $50.
And a big thanks to the two ATT employees in the forums, you know who you are. Finally internet access after 3+ years.
