It is a better service than most cable service providers. ATT is not blocking every port imagined just to save bandwidth. Most cable services have the "Don't do this" and "Don't do that" mentality. Cable companies generally have too many restrictions in their terms of service. I feel free with ATT DSL. And speeds do not change, as they stay the same on a daily basis.
Cable companies call it broadband and claim it is faster than DSL. In many cases cable can be faster, but speeds do not remain the same most of the time and they complain if you use too much bandwidth. What is too much bandwidth? Do not promise a service and then complain when it is used. There are services that literally restrict use to 10 gig a month and charge 2.00 per gig after that. This is America, not Canada or Australia.
ATT never complains and it is unlimited.
