I have the Pro package. Ordering was easy (online) and installation was easy, too. I was supplied with a SpeedStream 4100 (not 4100B), but it died because of a faulty power switch (a known fault with that modem; the power switch is the weak link). They're now supplying Motorola 2210s (at least as of 3/2008 when this review was written). Nonetheless, the technical service is good. I haven't had any technical issues other than the dead modem (which they replaced quickly), so I don't have much experience with Customer Service. The price is going up $5/month next month (3/2008), from $25 to $30. Let's hope this is the last increase for a couple of years, although I'm not hopeful; I've been a PacBell/SBC/AT&T customer for years, and the one thing you can count on is 20-40% increases in price for their "packages" every 18-24 months, but we'll see.

| Update to Review I had an AT&T Technician come out to my house to fix up the wiring at my NID. It's an old house and the wiring had been hacked at so many times, it was nightmarish. Anyway, the guy from AT&T did an outstanding job, and he was pleasant and on-time, too.
The folks here at DSL Reports in the "AT&T Direct" forum helped me diagnose potential problems, and then initiated the service call after offering me the option (I said "yes", as you can tell).
So, my first experience with AT&T Customer Service has been a big success. I had started to wonder about AT&T's Customer Service; not out of experience, but by listening to other people complain. I'm happy to report that the service was first rate. I wouldn't say it if it wasn't true.

2 edits | Re: Update to Review I've updated my service to Elite. All is going well. My down/up speeds average around 4935/629 and I'm 8.1K feet from the CO. I'm using a SpeedStream 4100B which I recommend over a 4100 when using this service, because it improved my SNR [11 to 13.5], and my Attenuation [45.5 to 43] when compared side-by-side. With Elite service any improvement you can get in these two stats may well be worth it.
I'm paying $35/mo. for Elite, and after last month's price increase Pro is $30/mo. If you can get Elite it's probably worth it since there's only a $5/mo. price difference now.
