    The wife and I needed landline service at our new apartment, and we weren't planning on watching much TV (we get ~10 stations OTA including all the major local ones) so we decided to get DSL instead of landline plus cable internet. The sales people were helpful, the setup was painless (though the AT&T internet connection software they make you run to establish service kinda sucked) but so far I am happy. It's definitely not as fast as Cox or Comcast's internet service (though on a busy afternoon both of those could drop to a crawl) but I don't have the "daily disconnect" that both of the other cable providers seemed to have.

    It's costing me roughly the same as cable internet, and provided the connection stays reliable I'll be happy with it.
