AT&T Good "Better than other options!" Bad "Limited to DSL Elite, price" Overall "It's alrite. It works. It really could be better (and much faster) but sadly this part of town will never see it."

Got this when it was SBC. Started out with DSL Basic. Then upgraded to Pro. That upgrade worked. After a bit, Elite was offered. Upgraded to that and ran into days of disconnects. Some of the helpful people here on the AT&T Direct forums helped me, even the local tech noticed the problem. Eventually a new line was strung and the signal was improved but I had to replace the modem (think it was going out too...bought my own brand modem). Pretty much now after a little more tweaking, the only problem I've had was when it would rain somewhere, I'd lose connection. Other than that, it's been stable. I really wish we had the even faster services of U-Verse (i.e. their Max and higher), or some other companies that could provide faster speeds at the same or lower price. But what's offered here, works.
