$35 per month about 4 days AT&T "Solid connection, quick order processing" "$35/mo for 6Mbps is a little much" "Its DSL, but its still a rock solid connection"

Dropped Charter cable since I was getting charged $60/month and, for some reason, they had no cheaper packages.. I decided I didnt need 30mbps of bandwidth a month anymore.
Ordered this DSL service and apparently they activated my service within the next 2 days.. I didnt have a DSL modem yet (ordered one online) so about 3-4 days after the order I received the modem..
The plan I got was 6mbps/512kbps for $35/mo for 6 months, then $49/mo afterwards... On speedtests I get 6.5/ 450.. With a 20ms ping. Im satisfied.. I get more than advertised on the download side, and close to advertised on upload.. The speeds seem a lot more stable and consistent than Cable. DSL is an outdated technology to an extent, but I still believe in it! I wish phone companies did, too. If AT&T could bump their DSL speed up to about 12mbps that would be awesome, but Im not holding my breath as I know they are probably more focused on U-Verse..
