I signed up with Believe to move off of a pair of bonded T1s. I was able to cut my internet bill in half with Believe and still had a Service Level Agreement with 100% uptime guaranteed. It sounded too good to be true (and it was).
The speeds are occasionally on target. Our contract is for 8Mbps down and 2Mbps up. I can never get those speeds using nearby SpeetTest.net servers but do see them on occasion on servers in New York.
Our connection drops frequently on foul weather days and on more than one occasion a "routing issue" has dropped our connection altogether.
The support staff is usually decent to work with. I've never received a trouble ticket number and on more than one occasion I've called in later the same day for status update and the person that I reached had no idea that we had an outage.
There doesn't seem to be an end in sight as they indicated to me that they were not going to invest further in their network in my area until they attract new customers.
Aside from frequent outages, our biggest problem is ping time (latency). We used to push IP Voice over our internet connection but are unable to now because of latency. Gamers beware!
In general, I would recommend Believe for consumers who do not depend on a stable internet connection. If you use a VoIP service such as Vonage or if you are a gamer, keep your FiOS/Cable connection.
I would not recommend Believe Wireless for any business that depends on an Internet connection. The outages are frequent and the customer service is sub-par.
