With Digis you don't need a contract. With Digis your installation is virtually free. With Digis, you do not have your upload speed restricted, in other words Digis upload speed even beats comcast. Many Local Businesses use Digis, and they have no complaints about the service. You also get 10 email accounts(7mbps plan), optional internet filtering, and much more. Through Digis you can get your internet and phone in the same package for less than the competitors. There are also business packages as well. If you would like to sign up call 1-888-DIGIS-88, and just tell them you were referred by customer 19017, thanks. It's $139.99 for the installation before a $40.00 canopy rebate(antenna), and a $99.00 90-day Customer Loyalty Mail-in Rebate, so basically free. The basic plan (1.5mbps download / 512kbps upload) is $34.95 a month($29.99 internet, $5.00 canopy rental) The Ultra Highspeed Internet Plan (5mbps download / 2mbps upload) is $40.00 a month($34.95 for internet, $5.00 canopy rental). You won't find that kind of upload speed with anyone else, unless you were to purchase a $300 a month T1 connection. If you would like to know more information go to »www.digis.net, and again if you sign up tell them you were referred by customer 19017, thanks. I have had Digis for over two years and it has never failed on me, I get 4000+ download and 1300+ upload during busy hours, they have very good voip that beats vonage, it is worth every penny. About the unlimited bandwidth, there are months where I have downloaded over 20 gigabytes and my speed was still what I was paying for.

Also, you can find speeds like that elsewhere.. Cox Cable supports that, and so does FIOS.

| Re: Advertising.. iProvo is in Utah, with its 10 Mbit up/down. Utopia is also in Utah, with up/downs that are at least comparable to what you are quoting, if not just plain better.
It is true, however, that neither of these is in Springville, yet. But it is not like the speeds you quote are unheard of in the area.

| Haven't you ever heard of figure of speech. In Davis County there is not Utopia, iprovo, or any other fiber optics, but there is comcast. Second the reason why your cable speeds are so fast is because the Cable companies have come out with this thing that when you download big files you get faster speeds then what you are paying for(12mbps down / 2 mbps up), which means the speedtests taken by cox and comcast customers are not their normal speeds. Now you may think that means your internet is faster, but it doesn't, it means you'll be getting normal speeds when your gaming or having a video conference which isn't the best. By the way iProvo has restricted their upload speed, but Utopia has not. Now let me restate my statement Digis has the fastest upload speed in Davis County, and many other areas of Utah. | |

| Re: Advertising.. I'm considering Digis, as I am moving from Provo to Springville. It is a viable option, together with Comcast. I will never do DSL again.
Your information on iProvo may be officially correct, but doesn't bear out in actual use. I have tested the iProvo connection, both up and down. Test speeds for download usually result in 6-7mbit speeds. Upload test speeds have been as high as 12mbit, but average about 9 mbit. I have verified this up/down performance by monitoring my net traffic while transferring many files simultaneously.
iProvo also says that they cap your upload/download at 100gigbytes per month. But I have transferred over 300gig in a given month without penalty, and routinely transfer more than 100 gig.
Within Provo, iProvo speeds are unbeatable, with transfers of up to 100mbit. And the iProvo uptime is better than DSL or cable ever was.
But alas, where iProvo and Utopia are not available, one must look elsewhere. I do believe that Digis may be the best option for me in Springville, as it apparently is for you in Davis County. Pricing is comparable to Comcast.
Digis is a viable option. But I'd drop it in a second for fiber.
