    Well. So far things are going well with AT&T Yahoo! DSL. I am in the 10 day ramp up, and so far I have had my full 512Kbps upload, and went from 1900 to 2500 Kbps for my download cap. In the next couple of days I should have my full speeds on the pro package. My package for $62 also includes unlimited local and long distance calling. So far I really like the service. Things have improved since I last had them. See below for my previous experience with them. I get the speeds I should be getting and my ping times are greatly improved over Cox. My latency is much more stable as well. They also made the turn up time on DSL much faster. As soon as my phone service was turned on, my DSL was already working. I'm running a Speedstream 4100 modem in bridge mode and letting my D-Link router do the PPPoE. I am quite satisfied and am glad that I made the switch back.

    ~~~~~~~~This is from the last time I had SBC Yahoo! DSL~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    I have yet to really have any complaints of the SBC Yahoo! DSL. The speeds are consistent, it doesn't matter how much I download, and I have stable pings. I am able to use VOIP and play games without any problems. When uploading pictures that are about 2 MB each, it doesn't take that long to get them up to the yahoo site. Downtime hasn't been an issue. I am hard pressed to really find anything negative with the service.
    Things have been great. Right before the end of our 1 year term, the upload was boosted to 384kbps. Shortly thereafter the new speed packages became available and we upgraded the Pro tier. Advertised 3000kbps/512kbps speeds, actual speeds are 2500kbps/412kbps. These are great numbers taking into account the PPPoE overhead. I am now using a Linksys wireless G router instead of the wireless B router. I love the service and the e-mail isn't too bad. I get some spam but not that much more than average. I use a lot of bandwidth downloading Linux distros for development and the service is better than the local cable co. The Dish deal isn't as good as our local cable co so we have cable tv. Overall I am satisfied and will continue to use SBC for internet services.
    ~~~~~~~Old Review~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    Well, I have really nothing but good things to say about SBC Yahoo! DSL. I have the 1.5Mbps/128kbps at home. This service is great for what I do. I play games and download. Now I'm not sure what my maximum speeds are, but I can't tell the difference between this and 3000/256kbps cable. I know I am no on CO, which is why I probably didn't get the 256kbps upload on this line. The PPPoE is handled by a Linksys BEFW11S4 v4. Actual throughput is 1245/136kbps. The service was ready 2 days before the actual go-live date. Ordering was very easy, as I did it on the phone and bundled it with the $54.95 calling plan that gives you unlimited long distance, toll and local calling. Definitly worth it. There haven't been any service interruptions except the day the DSL went active. There was some bad equiptment on our line and it had to be replaced before our service could go active. Other than that is has been a great experience. I really like the bundled Yahoo! features. The Bulk Mail folder takes a little time to actually train it. I get e-mails sent out to groups of people, which it thought was junk at first. Now, none of it ends up there as junk. The anti-virus only scans e-mails if you use Yahoo! web-mail. The home page is great and I love the Launch-cast radio. You can also create Yahoo! screen names and link them to your account, this way you don't have to always sign in with your @sbcglobal.net e-mail. Overall a great service. I am quite happy with SBC Yahoo! products and highly re

    commend them.
