    I moved into an older neighborhood that had some seriously old lines. Originally I was capped at 768 down due to line quality issues and distance from CO. At the time, I was considered 'borderline' for qualifying for DSL. Tech had to visit and he swapped the Speedstream modem for a Westell and the connection became stable. I believe the original price was around $35/month with 1-yr contract.

    8 years later, SBC has installed an RT and now I'm uncapped and running their "ELITE" speed package: 6016/768. - would like to see the upload increased to 1MB for this tier.
