Just signed up for SBC Yahoo two days ago and my line has been activated. Activation was supposed to be the 12th of Sept. I passed on the home networking kit because I already have a compatible modem and know how to configure my account to sign on. The only sour part is that the Yahoo site is crap meaning you cant do anything with the pics (links are dynamic) you upload except email them to others and then only using their ad infested web mail client. I'm already missing the superb services from DSL Extreme. Oh well it's only $15 a month, one can't expect that much.

Plan is 1 year, with ~1.5 down and ~384 up.

    UPDATE: 6/16/06

Service has been solid with no major issues. There are however a few annoying minor issues. As I do occasionally game online, latency to servers on other ISP's networks is less than satisfactory. Download speed is lacking as AT&T wont offer over anything over 3MB down which of course depends on RT/CO distance. Have no other service providers other than Charter Comm. which is a joke. The better of two evils here is AT&T because of price.

    UPDATE: 1/13/07

My contract was extended and upgraded to 3/512 plan. Price is now $17.99 a month. Service has been good on average, but connection has been flaky lately. I have seen my modem resync at least 8 times in the last week or so. I'm sure it has something to do with the 2 SBC trucks and 1 van up my street. Either they've been doing something up there for the last 2 weeks or these fellas have found some new place to milk the clock. Overall I'm satisfied with my service lets hope the work up the block is the beginning of something to look forward to (i.e. FTTN).

    UPDATE: 2/01/08

My DSL service has been humming along only with a few bumps to write home about. Same speed, but of course my price is a bit higher now. No free upgrades in speed for a long time now. The Elite Package isn't worth the price increase, nor does ATT offer anything worth paying out that extra money for. Fastest speed is 6MB in my area they dont look like they'll change for the better anytime this decade.
