Update 3/3/08: I'm no longer an SBC/AT&T employee but still have their DSL. I've upgraded to the 3 MB tier (would have gone 6 but it's not available) for 24.99 (plus the bogus fees they charge) and haven't had any issues to speak of. I also got rid of my crappy LinkSys wireless router and replaced it with a 2Wire DSL modem/wireless router combo. My wireless has been rock solid ever since.

I've had SBC DSL for the past six years at three different addresses. I've never encountered a problem with the service or a major outage. I've had some billing charges related to my employee discount that I needed to call and clear up, but considering that I don't pay anything for the service, I don't have a lot to complain about. 
I hate the bundled software, but I just choose not to install it. I also don't have to bother with PPOE anymore (a minor complaint at best) since I have my DSL hooked up to a wireless router now.
I docked tech support because I had a lot of problems with tier 1 when I initially called to set my parents' DSL line up a few months ago. They were rude, unprofessional and lacking English skills.
