    Moved from comcast after they suddenly started charging me for a cable modem I'd owned for 5 years. Got the 17.95 for 12 months deal for...1.5/512 or something like that. Had to put in a POT splitter, but since then every thing's been dandy. I have it and my wireless gateway/router on a UPS and can connect even when my electricity is out. The big difference from comcast is slightly less download speed (more now with their speed boost), and the uptime. Comcast was pretty reliable but it would drop connection at least twice a month and every other month I'd lose it for a few hours - not once with DSL in almost a year.
