After suffering with a certain cable company in my area, I decided to give DSL a try. I ordered the Elite package for $39 and change, no contract. AT&T answered all my questions promptly and professionally over the phone, and my modem (Siemens 4100 B) arrived about five days later. Installation was a breeze. Unlike the cable company, AT&T kept tabs on how my connection was faring and seemed genuinely interested in my satisfaction.
The connection has been first-rate so far. Good pings for games. Streaming video works as it's supposed to. I've only had one disconnection, but that was easily resolved by resetting the modem. I have not had occasion to speak to tech support, so I don't know about them.
I just hope AT&T Yahoo keeps up the good work.
