Ordered online along with metered rate phone service. Wireless gateway arrived about a week before the turn-on date. A tech came and hooked-up the pair and tested everything. Instant on and totally flawless.
After spending a year in cable land, I switched because the price was going up and they would not match AT&T's, even without the cable-switch rebate. I do have less bandwidth, but only notice the reduced upload every once in a while. I had Uverse at my previous address, and it took case of that problem.
There continues to be intermittent DNS issues with DSL, but I was having much worse ones over on cable. And, the evening slowdown is gone, along with the crappy pings.
