[update: April 2010]
Streamyx / TM Net has FTTH services. From 5mbit to 20 mbit up and down symmetrical.
As for the DSL services, it has been stable and deliver as promised. Get the full megabit they promised, very consistent. They're careful not to overpromise this time. And they've got great 4 megabit plans.
Might get the Fiber plans. Hearing good stuff about it. As competition increase, so does their QOS
Overall, I am happy.

[update: July 25th 2005]
I've reduced the ratings for my ISP because their quality of service has not been as good as before. The speeds are about 60% of advertised. I truly believe that ISPs should absorb the anticipated "overheads" in the internet connection.
Since it is on PPPoE, the connection occationally drops without reason. Luckily, I'm on a router with autoredial. But it often affects my IRC downloads and MSN status (instead of Away, it displays Online after a reconnect).
512kb/s is more than sufficient for my needs as I still have tonnes of downloads still to watch. Generally, I'm happy with my broadband service after 6-7 months on it. Dialup is so painful now. I wish they could bump the speeds to 1-2 Mb/s soon yet maintaining the price I'm paying. The phone line fees are abit heavy too, since all my family members are on mobile phones.
All in all, DSL is still better than the wireless offerings in Malaysia and my advice to TM Net is that they should make hay while the sun shines :P mwahaha...

Ordered 384 down 128 up.. It was working well until yesterday when they gave me a speedbump. Apparently it has been happening for weeks, in stages, upping the caps. I think mine's now 512 down 256 up.
I'm getting pretty good speeds with this service. So far, I'm very satisfied. however, availability in some areas might not be that good. Tech support staff are often clueless...
When it works, it works. Sometimes tho, sub-dialup speeds can haunt you when you least expect it. Or even outages.
