I ordered Vonage service about April of this year. I have Brighthouse cable (3MB/512K) via a Belkin router, and a Panasonic modem with a sticky IP address. Although installation was really smooth (only took about 5 mins), and the service was decent I had a number of other annoying problems.
I tried for 5 MONTHS to get my number ported, calling almost every week. Every time I got a different story. I finally gave up and canceled.
Occasionally I would get an annoying echo in the call that only I (not the person I was calling) could hear.
Nobody, including myself and whatever techs I called could get the fax to work. This sucked!
