After about a year and a half with Vonage, my only complaint is that caller-id is sporadic both in being transmitted (does not work 30% of the time), and with textual databases being a bit generic. My cell phone (AT&T) gives much better caller-id data.
I think I only had 1 significant outage (half-day) with Vonage, and reliability has been good for inbound and outbound calling. Price is great, don't regret the change from verizon to vonage for phone service at all.

I have to say, switching to Vonage was really very painless, with no issues for me.
I bought PAP2v2 @ Best Buy, activated online @ vonage.com, plugged everything in after unplugging from Verizon telco equipment, and it worked without any issues.
They even have the dial plan setup properly by default (something ViaTalk apparently did not on my test of that service).
I'm happy, and saving money compared to Verizon / AT&T. I have not had to contact support for anything yet, and hopefully will not ever
