I am coming up on my one year anniversary with Vonage. Overall, it has been great!
That being said, the service is only as good as your ISP, and a lot of complaints are better directed at the ISP. The other issue with the service is, if you have a stacked network, configuration can be tricky and quality of service will vary depending on how you have your network set up, quality of other equipment and internet usage by applications running on your network such as WOW and bit torrents (if not planned for)
The features are great, and the "alpha" actually beta applications like Vonage Talk and Contact Book are a real plus for me.
