I have had Vonage for multiple years and then cancelled because of personal reason and just went back to them just about 4 - 5 months ago. When calling to re activate my service, I would have to say 80% of the 30 - 45min phone conversation I was unable to understand the guy on the phone, so that probably was why it took so long to complete the order was because I couldn't understand him at all. After receive the new Vonage box (which was given to me for free) it took the full 10 business days to port my original home telephone number from my ISP (Cox Comm) to Vonage. According to Cox, they approved the number being ported over within two day of receiving it, so it took Vonage the remaining 8 days to get me my phone number.
Other then that, I would have to say I have no problem with people hearing my or me hearing them, I have the Vonage box set at 30kb for audio upload on my 2mb upload line and the internet still streams just fine when I am on the phone. My father has Vonage as well and he enjoys it as well and has really to complaints to say. But I would defiantly suggest to any family, friend, co worker etc to switch to Vonage, and I hope my review helps someone out in making their decision.
