HI,
I had Vonage in the UK for about 2 years. I am Canadian and I didn't really understand voip at the time so it served my purpose. I was on a plan for 8 pounds/month (about $16 US) with unlimited calls to US, UK, Canada, Ireland and some other countries. This price is better than they offer in the US and Canada (by about half) and when I called to cancel they allowed me a Canadian number at the same price. Still I cancelled as I found with Skype I used maybe $15 in about 5 months as I use a cell most of the time now.
The service is not customizeable enough and even the custom features that are available always cost extra (whereas they are included with other services like voip.ms)
It was good at the time as I had no cell and wanted a phone number and cheap calls to Canada. Now I use a 7-Eleven cell phone and voip.ms and this is ideal.
I should also note that you have to pay per minute to call support in the UK. This is normal over there but intolerable to me.
