I had Packet 8 for about 18 months; the service has increased in cost with "regulatory charge" add ins and now a mandatory new $1.99/month E-911 fee. The service was reasonably reliable, although sometimes voice mail or callers had problems. Significant latency on international calls. Awkward dialing to reach voice mail and full 10 digit calling required. No web access to messages, they could be forwarded to e-mail but that was somewhat awkward.
It was a fine service, but I've decided to switch to Sunrocket which is significantly cheaper and has more features.
