    --------------------------------------UPDATE 02/13/2008----------------------------------

Am still very very happy with QuantumVoice service, reliability, billing, tech support, customer service AND their web portal. I did not purchase the service for the web portal, but for their unique true unlimited 800 Voip service. With the price reduction since my installation and all fees and taxes included, in my opinion trumps all other Voip suppliers out there.

The most amazing thing to me is that if there is a problem, my cell phone still gets the call with simul-ring and the problem is fixed even before I get a chance to contact them. I don't have to worry about missing calls or forgetting to turn on call forwarding if I go out, since I leave simul-ring activated all the time.

Thanks for the super service QuantumVoice - you're the best.

    ---------UPDATE 03/15/2007---------

No complaints with my QV unlimited 800 service thus far. What really amazed me was that during the transition period from Advanced Media Services to Digital Realm there were absolutely no service interruptions for me. With a lower price than when I signed up, with 911, taxes and fees included, Caller ID now with name and number and with failover, I couldn't be happier. It seems like two services in one - unlimited in and unlimited out. All this at the same price (minus taxes and fees) that I'm currently paying for unlimited local and LD (outgoing only) POTS service. I believe that I really have chosen wisely. I use QV as my second line and can use 7 or 10-digit local dialing and either 10 or 11-digit LD dialing.

    ---------UPDATE----------

QuantumVoice continues to provide me with outstanding 800 service at a lower price than when I signed up about a year and a half ago. The price was reduced from $42 to $40/month with no taxes or surcharges or even 911 charges to date. If and when there is a problem, which is not often, it always gets fixed before I even have a chance to call or e-mail them. QV may not be perfect, but it does best what I expect any phone line to do - make and receive calls when I need it. I even used QV to call my local telco's repair service last May when a cable cut caused about a 25 hour service disruption on POTS. I could have used my cell phone, but I could not resist the urge to report POTS was down, but that I was calling on my VoIP line. This world would be a finer place if all services including customer service departments were like QuantumVoice's.

    ------ UPDATE ------

QuantumVoice continues to offer me outstanding service with good voice quality, good uptime and the utmost in professional customer service if needed. Billing is on time with no problems. It ceases to amaze me that VoIP is not QV's main business and they treat you as if it is not only their only business, but that you are their only customer. This just doesn't seem to happen these days, but with QV it indeed does. You get more than you pay for in my opinion, not just the service itself, but in the "we aim to please our customers" attitude with all their support staff. They like VoIP and their customers and it shows.

    ---- UPDATE ----

Am still very very happy with QuantumVoice's unlimited 800 VoIP service. While I did have a short outage since my last update, it was fixed promptly. This in my opinion is to be expected with any VoIP service. Am still getting very very good voice quality. I am also amazed that I can go anywhere and still receive my incoming toll-free calls on my cell phone (provided it's not out of range) with QV. I use simul-ring to ring both my POTS line and my cell phone. Whichever line is answered first gets the call. You get three (3) numbers with QV 800 service. An 800 toll-free number, a MI fax line to get incoming FAXes sent to your e-mail address and another MI DID number for overseas calls. I get billed $41.99 on each 1st of the month and never get any junk fees or taxes added on, nor any surcharges for calls from a pay phone. This service really rocks!

    ---- UPDATE ----

Continue to get outstanding voice quality with as of yet no know down time. In my opinion this is the two most important aspects of any VoIP service - I can ask for no more - when something is perfect, it can't be improved. Just my humble opinion. I am still very very pleased with QuantumVoice 800 VoIP service.

    ---- UPDATE----

Was hesitant to order this service because I already had a POTS 800 number with no installation charge, minimums or monthly fee, with $.06/minute for incoming calls. I also already had Packet8 unlimited VoIP and POTS unlimited LD.

But, I decided to request a LNP of my 800 POTS number to QuantumVoice 800 unlimited VoIP service. The number port was rejected a few times by my carrier with no explanation, but QV kept requesting again until it happened. It took about 7 weeks from the order date for my service to be transferred to QV.

Am using the Sipura SPA-2000 furnished by QV and I think the voice quality is better than POTS. If you visit QV's web site you will find most of the standard VoIP features so I will not go into that aspect. The thing that amazes me is that in the past 800 numbers were only for incoming calls to my knowledge, therefore behind every 800 number was a non 800 number that in my case was also used for outgoing local and LD calls. The unique thing about QV is that it is like having a virtual number in every rate center in every one of the 50 US states, with unlimited incoming calls to you. If that were not enough you also have unlimited outgoing calls to all 50 US states plus all of Canada just like most of the other VoIP providers.

Installation was virtually plug and play with no major problems.

The web site is more than adequate for my uses.

Have had no outages thus far, but I have only been using this service for a very short time.

Customer service and tech support is more than you could ever ask for. One night I called very late with a question and left a message and not only was called back promptly, but shortly into the call I received another call on CW also from tech support asking if they could help. Have never heard of this before in VoIP, but it did happen. They also delivered my Sipura on a Saturday evening by FedEx, a few weeks before my service was ported. Don't think this was necessary, but again very very outstanding service from a company with an industry first. Unlimited Toll-Free VoIP.

I believe QV now supports the Sipura SPA-3000 for you techies out there. They also are offering a business Toll-Free VoIP service which includes 3000 minutes for an additional $13.
