Having been one to get onto the Sunrocket bandwagon a bit late only to see the company go belly up with many a month left on my prepaid account I decided to try voip from a more robust provider. Install is the same as with any other voip provider other than the cable sponsored ones. I must say that the sound quality is my biggest beef, it sucks. The thing is it doesn't suck enough to warrant trying another service. Home telephone service is not something I'm gonna go crazy trying to get perfect. I avoid using the phone when at home and only have the service so people can reach the rest of the family. Voip in general is nice because of the lack of long distance billing with all national calls included. The lack of taxes and surcharges is another big plus. Another big nuisance is that at this point we have to dial ten digits for all calls. I think this may be my own fault, when I chose a temporary number I chose a locality that was close but in the next county .7 miles away. Another thing that really bothers me is how slow the voicewing website is. It takes forever for page changes to come up and because of this I no longer use the site to listen if someone left a voicemail. I also have not found a way to disable the voicemail so our answering machine could be the only means for us to get messages, it may be there, I just haven't been interested in spending more time on the very poor website. Overall the service works as advertised. You get what you pay for and since this is a fairly cheap product I won't be too angry about it's shortcomings.
