    My adventure into the world of Bell Atlantic ADSL

    3/12/2000 Ordered service online and was given a turn on date of 3/21/2000

    3/13/2000 Received 2 emails con firming order and activation date

    3/17/2000 UPS delivered Self-install package (pci modem, manuals, microfilters and green CD)

    3/20/2000 Received Welcome letter. Installed everything, yeah I know wasn't supposed to until next day (sue me)

    3/21/2000 Got home from work and had a green light on modem, yippee (not). Tried to connect no love, uninstalled-reinstalled 3 more times still no love. Called tech support at 11:55 pm hold time less than 2 minutes. Spoke to Elliott; we verified everything on my end was okay. Gave me and issue number and told me to call back the next day to verify that a ticket had been issued. Also said to call billing to have them give a credit for down time.

    3/22/2000 Called tech support (no hold time) talked to Mohammed, did the same thing Elliott did. Transferred me to tier 2 to check bindings and create profile (on hold for about 6 minutes). Robert at tier 2 asked all the same question that the other 2 did (this was two out of three that spoke English as a first language), He said the problem was at the CO and that he would issue a trouble ticket and the problem would be fixed within 72 hours. Also asked about the issue number that I was given by Elliot, guess what, no record of the first call on the 21 existed

    3/23/2000 Called tech support again spoke to ?Noel? to verify that ticket was issued, it was. Asked a few question and transferred me to tier 2 again. Peter took the call with less than two minutes on hold. Basically told me that the ticket was issued and that it would take 24 to 48 hours. So the saga continues .

    3/24/2000 Called tech support again to see if anything has changed, spoke to ?Asanda? Why does everyone that I speak to think that I called earlier today? Verified 629 error again. Sent me to Efficient.com to download new driver version 1.3, Asanda showed no record of ticket issued on the 22 but did have record of Elliot's issue number that I was given. So one guy says no record and another guy says yes there is a record, are we looking at the same record? Placed on hold again for 1 .2 .3 ..4 ..5 ..6 ..7 .8 .9 .10. Got back to me to tell me that the trouble ticket that had supposed to be issued to check my line hadn't, he assured me that he would take care of it

    3/24/2000 Spoke to Danny to cancel my service.
