I signed up with SR in April, 2006, approximately 7 months ago. The quality and service has been so good since then that I've not bothered to look back on this site. The service has always worked for me. On rare occasions there has been a slight breaking up, as is typical with all VOIP, but very minor and probably due more to the Verizon line than SR. Most of the time the sound quality is excellent and better than the regular land line.
When I first got SR I would ask people how the sound was in their end, and they invariably said "excellent". They had no clue it was a VOIP line until I told them about it.
SR support and service is excellent. When I first got the box and hooked it up behind the router, it didn't work so I called and got a rep in the Philippines. He said to put the box in front of the router, which I did, he did some connections then had me put it behind the router again and since then it's worked great.
When I was first signing up for VOIP I signed up with another provider VT, and they immediately sent me a confirmation that was $100 more than the amount advertised on their site. I called and the rep tried to sell me a more expensive plan! And said the price was not available as on their site, that they only put it there for "illustrative" purposes. I cancelled with them, signed up with SR and have been happy with SR ever since. SR has NO HIDDEN FEES as some of the others do. I just now checked VT's site and they are still charging more than they advertise. Check the fine print and they have a number of ways to charge more than the big number on their front page.
Take my advice and go with a provider who is honest, and doesn't try to screw you after you've signed up for their service.
I am very happy with SR and plan to stay with them for as long as they continue being the outstanding VOIP provider that they have been for the 7 months I've been with them.
By the way, their rates are less than 1/2 of that charged by Vonage, and the quality and service is much better.
As far as I'm concerned, SR is the best and you can't do any better than by going with them.
