Okay, here goes my review of Speakeasy.
One word ~ AWESOME.
I ordered 384/128 on 2-23-200. Bell Atlantic had a minor problem. It was soon fixed by Jessica at Speakeasy. Bell Atlantic scheduled my loop install for 3-21-200, and they actually came out 1 day early and installed it on 3-20-2000. Covad installation was scheduled fot 3-24-2000. They arrvied on time, installed the DSL within 20 minutes. I have been connected at close to the stated speed without a hitch. Everyone at Speakeasy, that I have dealt with were excellent. From the sales department on up through provisioning.
I was kept informed of every step of the DSL install through Speakeasy's TAC page. What can I say....Speakeasy...you the ISP.

I have had DSL for 4 months now with Speakeasy...
I can't complain...
I have had no break in service....
I get my advertised speed...I'm always connected..
I was switched to the NY POP on 4-24-2000.
MY game "pings" are pretty low on speakeasy servers.... 40-60
On other servers...90-150.... not too bad...but could be lower.
Price is ...I would consider a bit high...but ...I'm getting what I'm paying for...always on connection, fast speeds, great service.
Modem users of Philadelphia.....don't wait for Comcast to come around with cable modems that they have promised for 2 years...
you can get DSL now....
and it has a name...
Speakeasy.
I don't work for them...if I were in this line of work, I would.
