I have went from Qwest --> Vonage --> and now to ViaTalk.

I was very happy with Vonage when my bill was $27.24 a month. Now that Vonage has started to pass on taxes like a mad man that was eating into my savings that I had coming from Qwest @ $39.xx a month. So, now I pay about $8.30 a month for ViaTalk unlimited, I have ACR (Vonage does not right now), better support (on phone and web ticket system).

The CEO of ViaTalk posts on the forums here and is very helpful, that's a bonus. Use the coupon code DSLREPORTS when checking out and get free activation!

I've had ViaTalk for about 1.5 years and for the money I have been very happy. I had some initial problems and worked through them but haven't had really any major issues for about a year other than Caller ID time being wrong which was no big deal.

I am pretty confident that I will re-up for a year when my two years is up.

    $8.30/month? How?

They best I see is a "special offer" $150/yr + $3.45/mo, which comes to $15.95. They also reserve the right to raise the fee at any time, and they have been doing so even mid-contract.

Yeah, I went with them before they had fees so it was really $199/24. Now it's more with the extra fees. I figure that I will renew for the $150 a year when my two years is up in June.
