(ratings match consensus)

I have Comcast (RCA DCM315 modem) dynamic IP, Linksys (WRT54G), Netgear (DS108 hub) then ViaTalk (PAP2-NA. )

Overall I'm VERY pleased. Great features vs. cost. Call quality as good as or better than POTS. Was with Bellsouth then Talk America to lower POTS cost but VT beats both hands down.

Ordered and received in 3-4-5 days (don't remember exactly). Took slight tweaking by CS initially to get working properly. Then again to get touchtone working proper.

Only wife issue has had is the long silence before it starts ringing. (Note) I've never talked with ViaTalk about the last issue. It's not broke & I hate to fix something that's not broken.

I also have Packet8 & did have BVD (I've since dropped BVD but just added MajicJack). Have not had major issues with either. VT offers comparable/better features to both & better value/cost. I'm a happy camper.

I did something wrong with the rating bars at top right of review. They don't reflect how I thought I was rating them. My mistake, I guess.

    Fixed the rating snafu.

I survived the SunRocket crash & craziness that resulted w/VT being unprepared to handle the tremendous influx. I've only had one service outage (that I'm aware of) since using VT. That outage lasted a weekend (Friday AM to Monday mid day.) Fortunately, I have P8 in addition to VT & cell phones so all was not lost.

Initial 1 year special deal and special 2nd year renewal up in April so I'll be reviewing status before blindly renewing.

I have concerns about VT's "nickel & diming" to pad their bottom line. I have a Fax line w/VT that is forwarded to K7.com This affords me fax to email service at no additional cost.

VT is now offering fax to email w/additional costs. I'll probably port the fax number to MajicJack soon as they offer number porting.
