    My Other Reviews·QuantumVoice

I've been with VT for over a year. I am now leaving. I can not point to one item but will say it is a combination of several things. Most notably, the service is just UNRELIABLE. Currently I have 3 VoIP providers all using PAP2T (one on the same PAP), and the same internet connection 2 work flawlessly ALL the time, VT well, sometimes. Missed incoming calls (go to failover #), dead air on some outgoing, etc. That in and of itself is enough for me to leave, but I've put up with it for some time because of the price. There are also little issues with their features that do not cause any reliability issues, but are just plain annoying.

    UPDATE 01/21/2008:

Bottom line is Via Talk is poorly managed. There is no real leadership and the culture of the company is arrogance and the customer must be wrong, or has sh***y equipment, etc. That culture will NEVER change. Service may improve for period of time, but the culture within the company will always prevail. When there are problems in the future bet it will be your fault if you sign up with them.

Here is my personal experience. I had viatalk on line 1 of my PAP2t and quantumvoice on line 2. Obviously that PAP2 was connected to the same router that was connected to the same modem, etc. Guess what VT had calls going to my network down numbers, outbound calls would receive a fast busy signal, the VT calls that did connect never had quality issues. The Quantumvoice line NEVER did not connect neither inbound nor outbound NOT ONCE. Why? If you ask VT it is because my network is screwed up, and I should run a test at www.testmyvoip.com PLEASE! BTW I also have a Vonage Line on a separate adapter on the same network and do not have any issues with it. If you ask me, it is because VT is clueless, they refuse to admit their problems. For me that is ok, because I am no longer a subscriber. I can not tell you how nice it is after a year with VT to be QV and not ever have to worry about the reliability of my phone line.
