I was on bell for oh, 6-7 years, and I always dreaded calling up their support, it was awful, absolutely no help and I often got into bigger problems by calling them up.

After a move, my bell internet started giving me really low speeds (100kbps?) and when I asked them if they could fix it and improve the speeds they said it was not possible, so I decided to switch over to teksavvy, they said they could try and do something to improve the speeds, and waala, I'm getting 2400kbps and I'm very very very much happy with it.

Their support is great, extremely friendly and their service is quiet reliable. Couldn't have made a better choice

I forgot to add that, the pings, oh my gosh, simply amazing pings, I LOVE IT. Thanks

I had contacted TekSavvy somewhere around the beginning of January of this year asked for an increase in profile - anything, 0.5Mbps more would have done -- and guess what --- they did! From 299kB/s, I now get 416kB/s (max)

At first I had some issues with mass disconnects- but after a couple of emails, pms and phone calls (yes - they give support through almost any means) they managed to make my line stable once again - WITH MY NEW SPEEDS INTACT (However I believe they had to sacrifice the upload for this, not sure, doesn't matter because for me DL > UP)

Thanks TEKSAVVY FOR THE GREAT SUPPORT AND SERVICE (Shouts it to the world)

Just saw an auto-reminder to update reviews if needed and I figured I would.

Still with TekSavvy, speeds are the same as before but what can I do?
I almost switched to cogeco, but the prices for teksavvy is just so damn cheap, as well the the great customer support, its hard to switch :P Which is why I'm still here.

    Tiny clarification...

At the bottom where you say that the speeds are the same as before:
Do you mean 100kbps, or one of those other numbers that you quoted somewhere else? I ask because you mentioned switching to another ISP after seeming very pleased with Teksavvy.
    Just curious...

    Re: Tiny clarification...

I get around 300-315kB/s often. Those are the speeds I am talking about, and I get them though at the cost of few disconnects a day (1-2 everyday), I could have gotten better speeds (in the 400s) however the disconnects would have been unbearable.

With Cogeco, I was about (I did not switch, still with teksavvy here) to switch the internet as well because it supposedly comes cheaper in a bundle, and I was switching my TV + Phone over with them. However, the 60 GB caps totally threw me off and I decided to stick with TekSavvy. In the end its more saving as well.

Hopefully the 60 GB cap doesn't come into place, at least for existing TekSavvy customers.

    Thanks for the reply.
I am slowly starting to look around for alternatives to my 3web Cable internet connection because of saturation in my area. I'm eating up all comments about Teksavvy and other alternatives that I can find. Teksavvy sounds like a very solid ISP from all the ranting and raving on this and other sites.
If I decide to try ADSL again, they'll definitely be at the top of my list of choices. I would need some seriously patient tech support because I have old lines and have experienced constant disconnects in the past.
I don't know the details about this 60GB cap that you're referring to, but it shouldn't affect you in any way if Teksavvy is offering 200GB/month... that's the only cap to which you'll have to adhere.
