I'd previously been using Bell Optimax through their business department, and they got everything wrong, every step of the way. They couldn't even properly cancel my service after I finally jumped ship. Over the years my expectations for ISP's have only gone down.
When I signed up with TekSavvy, the people on the phone were friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. I ordered a DSL login (my DSL lines themselves are installed by another company), with a static IP, and a /30 subnet for a host I wanted to put outside of my LAN. It was up and running by the time I was off the phone with the agent.
I ended up switching to their premium package, which means I have to pay for my bandwidth, but I'm happy to do so. I get excellent routing of my data, and the prices are very reasonable and transparent.
When I wanted a change made to the reverse DNS settings for my IP, I sent an email and asked that they contact me at my gmail account if they needed any more info. They did the work quickly, and then offered to forward my teksavvy account to my gmail account for me, so I wouldn't miss any important emails they sent to me. Above and beyond, in every respect.
This is by far the best experience I have ever had with a telecommunications company.
