I was leary of a DSL connection, after being on cable for 9(?) years, but decided to take TS for a "test drive". With NO contract, I had nothing to loose other than a few extra $$ for comparing to my cable connection. It was well worth the try. With cable, my connection speeds have been on avg 1300-3500 during the evening hours, which is when I have my free time to use Inet. Decent speeds are only attainable after midnight. This issue was/is present for 6+ mos, with no resolve from my cable ISP, who deem there is no issue.
From the first moment of DSL connection w/ a 5000/800 profile, I have consistently had a "real life" speed of 4319 and 530 kB DL, 24/7. The connection has been rock-solid. On comparison, I have found TS more usable and stable than my cable. It's also hard to justify the expense of cable, given it's limitations.
From ordering to activation was a standard five business days, with NO complications. Hardware setup is "self-install", but is NOT complicated. IF help is needed, Teksavvy is only a toll-free call away, and you reach a knowledgeable, friendly tech within a matter of minutes. In addition to phone help, is the TS forum, on this site, where the same tech's, and even the TS CEO's participate to help customers who have questions.
TSI is a private, family operated business, who pride themselves and have built their success, on their outstanding reputation. It isn't hard to see why, right from the time of sign-up.
