I signed up for Internet service with TekSavvy near the end of August, with activation set for the beginning of September. There were no issues at all with my switch from OdyNet to TekSavvy, and communication has been great. I was already a home phone customer with TekSavvy, so I was already familiar with the friendly service.
I have had no connectivity issues, and my DSL profile was upgraded from 3 Mbps to 5 Mbps when I switched providers. In fact, there is nothing to really talk about other than reliable service at a great price.
The only issue I have had is with billing and accounting. This has been an ongoing issue with the company. It isn't anything major like overbilling, just small things like inconsistent billing dates (my first month charge was invoiced almost a month late), and lack of itemization of long distance charges (not strictly related to Internet, but TekSavvy in general). As of 2009, all my bills have since been consolidated, and long distance billing has now been itemized, so I'm happy to see this has come together in the last year.
I really wish that TekSavvy would have an online billing system which would allow me to access my bills over the Web rather than having them delivered by e-mail. Such a system would be more secure, and would give me a centralized location for my billing history.
All in all, TekSavvy is a great company and a great value. I hope that they can keep it up in the face of competition from companies like Bell.
