    My Other Reviews·Bell Sympatico
After eight years with Bell Internet, I decided to look for more economical alternatives, and have arrived at TekSavvy. I am on TekSavvy's Premium service, running a self-purchased Thomson SpeedTouch 516 with v6.0.22 firmware.

TekSavvy had received favourable reviews from my personal friends and the DSLR community, and I was not disappointed. The phone reps are knowledgeable, efficient and friendly. Calling a second time in one day, one recognized me from my voice. Wait times were virtually non-existent.

This was just as well, as my switchover was quite painful. I was transitioning off Bell CondoTV, aka VDSL, which is an atypical situation. I wanted minimal downtime, while such changeovers could take up to 5 days to sort themselves out. It involved a lot of calls to Bell and TekSavvy to sort things out. Unfortunately, there was a lack of experience in handling VDSL from both parties but TSI remained good sports about it all and worked hard to sort things out.

TSI managed to get DSL hooked up in under a day, however I received no sync. However, one quick call and a Bell technician arrived the very next day. To Bell's credit, he too was knowledgeable and efficient. The culprit: no one had bothered to connect my line to the OPI-DSLAM.

In the end, the switchover wasn't completely smooth, however I only lost a day and a half of Internet service. TSI's customer service won the day.
