$34 per month about 5 days Bell Canada "high bandwidth" "connection stablity issues, disconnects/slowdowns no real tech support"

I switched from rogers because i wanted more bandwidth at a lower cost, regardless of speed. I ordered the premium 5mbit package at $34 a month. online ordering was not very user friendly so i called in and the order went smoothly. dsl was up and running on the day given. I bought the speedtouch 516 modem.
the good: 530kb/s download speed and the massive 200gb bandwidth vs 60gb with rogers
the bad: connection disconnects sometimes. (i really hate losing internet when im in the middle of a task) i been told its probably my router (dlink dir-655) thats causing the problem, but ive used it for more than a year with rogers and had probably 2 disconnect. currently im just getting used to the disconnects because ive called techsupport and posted router log on the forums but received no useful help.
update 1 - still getting slowdowns/dcs, router wasnt the problem (stopped using it and still getting disconnects) and now ive bought a new modem to see if its the modems fault. sigh
update 2 - internet disconnects every evening, no real tech support (unless you want to spend 100bux or more). today was special, i disconnect 3 times trying to update this review.
update 3 - after using teksavvy for half a year basically ive noticed that my disconnects happens mainly around 8:30pm to 12am. switching back to rogers in sept most likely
update 4 - i switched to bell dsl on dec19th, i told the tech about my previous issues with teksavvy dsl and he said its just teksavvy bad connections and you know what hes right. i have not disconnected once so far.
