 | | Internet for the right price but fees+poor cust serv. I've been with Teksavvy for the past 6 years. The only reason I don't switch is because its the only internet company in Ontario that makes sense for pricing their internet and usage monthly.
I would suggest new people looking for internet not to take Teksavvy. My reason for this is poor customer service and they charge you for everything you do. Heck, they'd probably charge you to use their washroom. Many times I've wanted to upgrade my service or add more speed to my internet but there's always a fee, a switch fee, or something where they need to come to my house and install an extra $95 cable.
As an example I was just hung up on by a customer service rep who wanted to charge me $95 for a tech to come and install fiber optic to switch my speed from 5mbps to 15mbps. I also wanted to make this switch a few years ago but they wanted to charge me a $95 (Switch Service) fee. She said there is nothing she can and I must pay the fee, so I began to tell her my story from a few years ago - not even 10 seconds later she hangs up.
It seems to me their service is AS IS. They charge for everything, there is no loop holes, no discounts, they won't give you any graces, nor will they write off any fees.
Teksavvy has internet but dis-respectful people running it. By next week I'm switching to Cogeco or Distributel. | |
