  • Location: Toronto, ON, Canada
  • Cost: $45 per month
Pricing is great compared to Bell/Rogers
Inability to do anything but blame the incumbents.
Can't recommend.

Switched from Rogers in an attempt to save a few bucks. Biggest mistake of my life, hard down for over a week with no resolution in sight. Tech support can only call Rogers and ask for resolution. Zero ability to take ownership of the situation, escalate and deal with things. Constant passing of the buck. I have to call I'm daily just to let Teksavvy know that my connection is still down, each day they close the ticket as "resolved". Talk about infuriating.

Heard a lot of good things about this company, so really sad to see such lousy service.

The best part about this? Not even a suggestion for a credit. Yup - that's right, I've paid for a modem and service I haven't been able to use for over a week.

If someone could actually take ownership and get this setup properly I will be able to provide a review of the services, but at this point I could never recommend teksavvy to anyone.

Hello Canuk7272,

Thank you for the review. I do regret to hear of the struggle to be activated at your address. This is not the experience we want for our customers. Time without service is credited back once service is active and I would be more than happy to look into your account and get you activated ASAP.

Can you please send us a message in the Direct Forum »/fo ··· avdirect with your account information? We are happy to help you.

Regards,

Re: Review

Thanks - but "... I do regret to hear of the struggle..." sounds like the canned response I have heard from probably 10 of your account managers by now. There's nothing more infuriating than a canned call centre response with no ability (or urgency) to actually try and fix the situation.

I understand that Teksavvy is dependent on the incumbents but I'm not paying Rogers - I'm paying Teksavvy.

... and thanks for the offer, but I don't think another player in the sandbox is going to help at this point. If my service isn't up today I'm shipping the modem back and going elsewhere. I would expect a full refund including return shipping costs.

Re: Review

I can understand how that response could have been taken the wrong way. I'd apologies to you for that, but I'm sure you've heard more than enough apologies already.

In all honesty, I cannot 100% guarantee today for you. However, if you could post in direct with your account info I'd be happy to take over your account and let you know what we can do to get you online ASAP.

Thank you,
Keith
