    I have FIOS all the way around (Voice, Data, Video) and just love it. I was the first install for video in my city, and have enjoyed the channel options. I was a Comcast video customer, and they are always increasing their prices.

    Fiber Optics is the future, and Verizon was the first to have it out.

    As far as my BAD POINTS above, I have not really had any issues with any of my hardware (STB, Router, NIM) but I know some people have reported issues. This is a brand new service from the ground up, so expect somethings to have "bugs" in them. They are getting better and better as time goes by!

    As of now, I have two STB's. I have the main one, which is the QIP6416-1. This one is the HD/DVR. I also have an SD one.

    hey

    You would recommmend to all at 150 a month? Not too many people have this kind of money to blow. I would think twice about it. too much of a luxury.

    As a VOIP rep, I love it when customers have FIOS. Makes my job so much easier lol.

    I guess it is okay for a few rich folks to foot most of the bill for us during this early times. Much later it will be widely available and hopefully much cheaper.

    Rich folks?? I know a ton of people that have cable TV, a phone line, and cable internet, and I would not call them rich.

    Fiber is Good, Verizon is there, but not the "first"....

    Glad you like it and hope to break it to you, but Verizon wasn't the first to have Fiber. WinFirst in Sacramento Califonria, now Surewest, has had it since 1999 and then Sprint has it here in the Twin Cities for a while now in some areas as other companies too. They maybe the first in your area, but definetly not the first by any means.
