Installed August 3rd so I have only had it a few days. Originally had an afternoon appointment but the installer came early when is first appointment was canceled which worked out great for me. Installer was a nice guy that did a really nice job and a very clean install. He even left the old copper coming into the NID (just diconnected) and just ran a new short line from the ONT to the NID. Power line, power pack and ethernet cable were run just where I wanted it to go, ie hidden in a utility closet.
After he got the power working and the phone working, he had me just hook it up to my existing setup and it connected via DHCP instantly. Originally he was not even going to leave the ActionTec since I want going to use it, but he said something about if I wanted it later it would cost $75. Since it was part of the deal, and I wasnt sure if they would have NIMs available later for TV service I decided to keep it. When I finally took it out of the box three days later I found that the wireless seemed to work a bit better than my old linksys which I can now probably give to my parents.
Data service has been rock solid over the last few days but now has the added bonus of having nearly a 2mb upload versus my old 512kb upload with Adelphia which will be helpful when I telecommute.
Phone serice seems fine although I do have the older Panasonic cordless phones. I have only had the echo problem with one person so far but it wasnt horrible.
I just hope Verizon does not decide to raise the price any time soon.
