I had Fios installed back in May '05, the 2 installers arrived here by 9AM and by 3PM I was up & running. The installers did a clean, neat job wiring both inside & out. I had the 5/2 package then, and now have 10/2. Lost phone service for 2 days back in July due to severe weather, ran off the BBU until I got the portable generator going. That is the only service outage I had so far, so I can't complain. I was a DSL user for 7 years had nothing but (downtime, performance issues,etc) problems. One odd thing that stood out during the during the fios install, was when the installers ran into a minor problem, they could not trouble shoot it since this crew did not have a laptop with them. So they had to call support. When I asked one of the installers why no laptop, he stated not all of the install crews carry a laptop on there truck. Regardless I am a happy camper, fiber is the real deal.

That goes with any ISP service. You can't do anything about a power outage so that isn't fair to put it as a con. | |
