    Ordered 10Mbit/2Mbit ($39.95/mo) service online 01/01/07, service was installed promptly on 01/03/07 during the scheduled install window. Installation of ONT went smoothly, but the techs showed alot of resistance to putting the equipment inside of my house. My existing phone equipment was already in the house and placing the ONT outside would have resulted in it being mounted in the front of the house and posed some security concerns. In the end they installed it in the basement.

    The provided Actiontec MI-424-WR router is quite functional. It is a bit awkward to setup port forwarding for a few services. Once you figure it out, its a snap to setup. Verizon is currently activating new customers with DHCP as opposed to PPPoE which is a big plus. This alone makes troubleshooting any future problems somewhat easier.

    UPDATE: Upgraded to triple play service in March of 2008. Speed bump to 20Mbit/5Mbit was a nice plus.
