    My Other Reviews·Vonage
I had originally placed an order for 5/2 service, though upon getting greedy, called to upgrade to 15/2 for just another $10 monthly. Until this point, all was well, but Verizon didn't really want to implement my upgrade. By this I mean, it took me 5 independent phone calls to probably 15 different techs, (and each one had to transfer me at least once).

Every day for nearly a week I'd call to ask the status of my order, and they'd usually tell me "Sorry but we can't even see you have an active account with us, are you sure your internet works now?". Turns out, that by ONLY paying for a Data Line, you endlessly confuse poor Verizon. This would end up in me placing a second, third, fourth.. and so on orders.

Day 14, Verizon finally gets the message I wanted something, and DO have an active internet connection, so they figure they'll just give me a second one (not the upgrade I had been calling for so many times). Two OTs arrive about 4 days later with plans for a new install. After explaining my frustration to the men, they get on the phone and straighten everything out. This turned out to be cancel my current data line, and create the 15/2. I can't wait to see how that turns up on the bill.

All in all, the bandwidth tests say it the best.

    They say: 15 / 2
    I get: 12.8 / 1.7
    Gateway ping replies = 4ms
    This is an MDU install.

UPDATE: Recently Verizon has "upgraded" the FiOS service in my area, and as a result I now recieve sometimes greater than 15Mbps down. Upstream around 1.9, but worst of all, Gateway pings now come back at 20 :'(.

Good bye ping of 4, hello 2.2Mbps more bandwidth and ping of 20. Boo Verizon.
