I have to say, I have been following FiOS for a long time. I started reading about it years ago. Back then I was living in Connecticut and new it was never going to come to us because we had SBC. The day I saw my parents block get the fiber hung was a very happy day. I knew it had arrived. Not long after, I moved back to Long Island. While looking for houses with my wife, I knew where FiOS was working and what areas were being worked on. She wanted to look at houses where it wasn't, I wanted to look where it was. In the end, we decided on Massapequa, already up and running I ordered the service less then a month after we were in the house. and I have to say it has been a great service. Install was a cake walk for the tech, seeing as I was in the middle of rewiring the while house with home runs back to the garage. The whole install took less then 3 hours, and that's with one trip back to the garage for a longer piece of fiber to get from the street to the house. Looking forward to getting the TV service in the next few months, figure its not worth it till I get a HD set.

UPDATE: Well I have had the TV service for over a year and it is outstanding. Now that there are over 100 HD channels its really hard to compare to Cablevision. I dropped the internet to 20, to save a few $$, but it really didn't impact me. I've got my family to switch over from Cable to FiOS and they love it as well.
