Having been a FiOS Internet customer since May of 2006, I have had an entire year to use the product and break it in. Well there was no break in period. It has been extremely reliable and has NEVER been down or unavailable in the year that I have had it.
I consistently get 20000 down and 5000 up and it is always the same. Quickly recovers after a power interruption and you are back on-line in seconds.
FiOS TV Installation: Motorola HD/DVR
Verizon added FiOS TV in our home on Friday, April 27, 2007. It went well taking all of 45 minutes for the installer to complete his work. Granted, my home was wired with RG-6 cable already so all he had to do was plug in, activate, test and place an attenuator on the line to knock down the strong signal that the ONT pushes out to the TV sets.
My assessment of the TV service? Thought you'd never ask...
I have never seen a clearer more lifelike picture in quite some time. Having come from Cablevision (snowy analog channels) the FiOS picture almost looks like I am looking through a window as opposed to viewing a TV program. Absolutely awesome.
I took the Double play for the 1st year of $82.94 and after the year expires the prices go to their normal levels. I have VoIP so I opted to not take the phone line.
I am very pleased with it and can’t say enough good things about it to aptly describe what you get for your Money.
