My other options were Comcast Cable Modem, Verizon DSL or dial up.
I took 20/5 speed with triple play, telephone and television. The monthly price is
$49.95, but with triple play discount is $39.95 for 24 months. I had been paying
$48.00 per month to comcast for 6/1 service that included a $5 bundle discount
for having expanded basic cable television. The order and install process was
very smooth. Install took a couple of hours. My house sits 300 feet back from the road and there was one visit prior to install to have conduit dug under my front yard. That is why the days from order to success took longer. The conduit installation went very smooth. When the Internet service was installed, the installer pulled the fiber from the pole through the conduit up to my basement wall. I have never had Verizon back to my house for anything, after the television install which occurred in March 2007. Internet Install was in December 2006. The router is Actiontec MI424WR. The good experience is the speed, reliabilty and price. There has been no bad experience.
